1)      Payak – pangungusap na nagpapahayag ng isang diwa o kaispian lamang. Ito’y maaaring magtaglay ng payak o tambalang simuno o panaguri

Ang payak na pangungusap ay maaaring binubuo ng mga sumusunod:

a.       Payak na simuno at payak na panaguri.

Halimbawa:

Ako ay nagliligpit ng aking mga basura.

b.       Payak na simuno at tambalang panaguri.

Ako ay nagliligpit at nagsasaayos ng aking mga basura.

c.       Tambalang simuno at payak na panaguri.
