An enlightening
and action-driven Information Awareness Drive Re-EO70 Call To Action-
Oplan Double Barrel took center stage, spearheaded by MAJ JULIE G
FADCHAR (OS) PA, within the vicinity of Barangay Tuntungin-Putho, Los
Banos, Laguna.
The drive held profound significance as it delved into the intricacies
of the PNP Anti-Illegal Drugs Campaign Plan - Project: "Double
Barrel," a robust initiative devised by the Philippine National
Police. This project, initiated through Command Memorandum Circular
No. 16 – 2016 on July 1, 2016, is aimed at curbing the sale and usage of illegal
drugs via a comprehensive array of operations against drug personalities and
syndicates.
The overarching goal was to enhance community awareness regarding
the government's two-pronged approach to combating the drug menace: Oplan
High-Value Target, targeting major drug sellers, and Oplan Tokhang, focusing on
small-time drug pushers.
The event catalyzed a dialogue on vital topics, strengthening
understanding and encouraging action against the drug trade. Community members
were empowered with knowledge that can play a crucial role in the
broader landscape of drug suppression.
The campaign left an indelible mark, its impact echoing through the
community, all thanks to the unwavering dedication of participants. Their
collective effort became a catalyst for cultivating a secure and
respectful environment where the values of dignity and respect flourish.
