The MATATAG Curriculum continues to guide teachers in delivering purposeful, well-organized, and learner-centered instruction. For Grade 3 educators, the Daily Lesson Log (DLL) for Quarter 3, Week 6 serves as a valuable tool in planning daily activities that strengthen foundational skills, promote meaningful engagement, and nurture values essential to holistic development.
This week’s DLL integrates key learning competencies across major subject areas such as Filipino, English, Mathematics, Science, Makabansa, Good Manners and Right Conduct (GMRC), and MAPEH. Each school day begins with consistent routines that support a positive learning environment—prayer, greetings, attendance checking, short reviews, and energizers that help set a lively and focused atmosphere for the learners.
In Mathematics, students continue practicing multiplication and division through real-life word problems, group activities, and interactive drills. These tasks enhance numeracy skills and encourage critical and analytical thinking.
In English, the focus is on improving comprehension through context clues, enabling learners to understand unfamiliar words and make better sense of short passages. Filipino lessons strengthen reading fluency and comprehension, while also helping learners communicate their ideas more confidently in their mother tongue and national language.
Meanwhile, Science encourages exploration through simple investigations, observations, and guided questioning, building curiosity and foundational scientific thinking.
The Makabansa subject area helps learners deepen their appreciation for their identity as Filipinos. Lessons emphasize love for country, respect for cultural heritage, and awareness of national symbols, traditions, and shared values. Through stories, songs, and meaningful activities, learners begin to understand their role as young members of the nation.
In GMRC, values such as kindness, cooperation, honesty, and respect are reinforced through real-life scenarios and reflective discussions, supporting the MATATAG goal of producing learners with strong character.
The DLL ensures that teachers are well-prepared with organized strategies, assessment tools, and reflection notes, helping them continually improve the learning experience. With clear structure and flexibility, Week 6 becomes an opportunity to inspire joy, curiosity, and confidence in every Grade 3 learner.
